The accomplished American singer and pianist Roberta Flack has just passed away at the age of 88. Her departure surely coincides with the celebration of black history month which we celebrate during the month of February. Let’s us remember: Kent State University 1969, students and professors advanced this idea of Black History Month. But in fact, it stemmed from the thinking of Dr. Carter G. Woodson in 1926. History will record that Roberta Flack died coincidently on February 24, 2025. “A mind is a terrible thing to waste”. But her mind has not been wasted.
This ‘hallmark’ song is the number one in Roberta Flack repertory.
