The death of football/soccer writer Grant Wahl & the closure of the quarter final
12/10/22 FIFA WC. This weekend of the quarter final while in Qatar attending the world cup, the brilliant
football/soccer writer Grant Wahl unfortunately dies. His death sends a shock wave throughout the
foot/soccer world. Today the quarter final ends with Morocco 1 (moves to semi, the first time ever an
African country gets that far) – *Portugal 0 | *England 1 – France 2 (Advances to the semi).
Lionel Messi led Argentina to the 2022 world cup
12/13/22 FIFA WC. We are now in the last phase of the semi-final. Today, Lionel Messi and his squad
have beaten the runner up of the 2018 match, the young and potent European team of Croatia by 3 goals
to none. France the champion of that dramatic 2018 final with Croatia, might face Argentina at the closing
of the tournament. The match between France and Morocco (December 14) will determine the next qualifier
which will meet Argentina on Sunday the 18 of December 2022.
Sunday December 18, 2022, will it be France or Argentina the winner of the FIFA cup 2022?
12/14/22 FIFA WC. The semi-final is over, France has beaten Morocco. Scores: France 2- Morocco 0.
Sunday December 18, the second largest country of south America will meet France the 3rd largest
country of Europe. The two players that football fans will most attentively watch are Lionel Messi
of Argentina, 35 years of age and Kylian Mbappe of France age 23. They are adorably dangerous.
I mean they are fun to watch. Good luck to both of them.
Morocco and Croatia battled it like it was the real final.
12/17/22 FIFA WC. Croatia beat Morocco and finished 3rd for a second time (1998, 2018). And this is
the 6th participation of Croatia in FIFA world cup, in 2018 it lost the final to France. Today scores
are Morocco 1- Croatia 2. See you in 2026 in America. Well done!
What a world cup final!
Sunday December 18, the second largest country of south America met France
the 3rd largest country of Europe. The two players that football fans had focused on the most
Lionel Messi of Argentina, 35 years of age and Kylian Mbappe of France age 23 with the
assistance of their respective teammates, they have spectacularly delivered a remarkable
world cup final. They are adorably dangerous; I mean they are superb and fun to watch.
But this is football, and this is the world cup final, therefore there must be a winner.
Thus, after an amusingly tense 90 minutes with a score 3-3 plus another 30 minutes, the game
came to the shoutout mode.
As a final result, Argentina won the 2022 cup on penalty kicks, or you if you prefer, the shoutouts
favored Messi over Mbappe this time. Congratulation to Lionel Messi and his teammates.
And of course, congratulation to Mbappe and his teammates [les bleus].
*Eliminated (sorry, perhaps we’ll see you in 2026)
**Eliminated (But will be automatically qualify in 2026, because the 2026 FIFA WC will be played in
three countries: USA, Canada and Mexico).
N/B Lionel Messi is invited to the Maracana stadium hall of fame in Brazil to be
symbolically among the greatest football players.
