Haiti, le monde de la radio, les musiciens et les amants de la bonne musique courbent bien bàs pour saluer la disparition de Herby Widmaier qui vient de se succomber le Jeudi 27 Avril 2017 en sa residence à Port-au Prince.

He participated in popularizing jazz and bossa nova in Haiti. His music is easily identifiable by unique beauty and warm sensuality influenced by jazz and bossa nova, and yet maintaining his essence of Haitian folklores and the Creole language. One owes Herby along with his father Ricardo for having immortalized Haitian music from the ’50s and ’60s through their recordings.”
